The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the largest academic funding organisation in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. Since it was founded in 1925, more than 1.5 million scholars in Germany and abroad have received DAAD funding. It is a registered association and its members are German institutions of higher education and student bodies. Its activities go far beyond simply awarding grants and scholarships. The DAAD supports the internationalisation of German universities, promotes German studies and the German language abroad, assists developing countries in establishing effective universities and advises decision makers on matters of cultural, education and development policy.

On this website you can get a wide range of information about studying and researching in Germany and links that might help you regarding your search. Our events:

Presentation "Study in Germany" 

You want to enroll in world class universities with a strong international focus which offer a huge range of study opportunities without paying any tuition fees - then study in Germany!

The Staff of the DAAD Information Center Amman will explain to you how to navigate through the sheer number of about 17.000 study programmes in German and some 1600 in English currently offered by 400 institutions of higher education. A special focus is on DAAD funding programmes and scholarships offered for Jordan.

Venue: Goethe Institut Amman (German cultural institute, close to 3rd circle)

The presentation usually takes place at the Goethe- Institut every third Tuesday each month.
